Soccer Game Preview: Kennedy vs. Taft

The Kennedy Thunderbirds will venture away from home to challenge the Taft Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kennedy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Kennedy is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Wasco on Tuesday. Kennedy took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wasco. That's two games in a row now that the Thunderbirds have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Taft and Shafter finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw on Friday.

Cierrah Franks and Rudie Fannon scored both of Taft's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-4. With that draw, Taft's record moves to 7-9-3.
