Basketball Recap: Wright Tech Comes Up Short

Wright Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 74-48 to the O'Brien RVT Condors. The Warriors lost against the Condors in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 37-36 score last time.

Leading O'Brien RVT to victory were Robert Stocker and Landon Weller. Stocker posted 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals, while Weller put up 22 points along with seven boards and six assists. Weller continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Garrett Johnson, who had 13 points.

Wright Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for O'Brien RVT, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wright Tech will challenge Wilcox RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for O'Brien RVT, they will take on Bullard-Havens at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
