Savannah Christian dropped down to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were dealt a 52-24 loss at the hands of the Toombs County Bulldogs. The Raiders were down 38-17 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

When it comes to explaining why Savannah Christian lost, don't look at Blaise Thomas. Despite the final result, he rushed for 120 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 156 yards and one touchdown.

As for Toombs County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Justin Powell produced another solid effort rushing for 177 yards and three scores on only 15 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102.3 rushing yards per game. Joseph Owens was another key player, throwing for 56 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

As of now, neither Savannah Christian nor Toombs County have any future games scheduled.
