Baseball Recap: Henderson Comes Up Short

Henderson couldn't beat East on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Warriors fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 6-5. The Warriors' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Shane Manuel was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Zach Ward was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Jack Walsh was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Henderson's record now sits at 11-8. As for East, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Henderson will head out to square off against Haverford at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East, they will venture away from home to challenge Bishop Shanahan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
