Soccer Game Preview: Gulf Coast vs. Bishop Verot

The Gulf Coast Sharks will face off against the Bishop Verot Vikings at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Gulf Coast's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of American Heritage back in December of 2024. That's two games in a row now that the Sharks have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Bishop Verot hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Canterbury a 2-0 shutout.

Jack Fish and Raul Blandon scored both of Bishop Verot's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Bishop Verot has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-0-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven matches. As for Gulf Coast, they now have a losing record at 6-7-1.
