Volleyball Recap: American Canyon Extends Winning Streak to Three

American Canyon barely beat Vanden the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won three matches in a row.

American Canyon not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Vanden between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-16.

Vanden lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Neharah Saavedra, who had 17 digs. Iris Corral was another key player, getting six digs and three aces.

American Canyon's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Vanden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, American Canyon will be playing in front of their home fans against Casa Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vanden, they will venture away from home to take on St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
