Basketball Recap: Moultonborough Academy Comes Up Short

If Moultonborough Academy was feeling good fresh off their 59-39 takedown of Inter-Lakes last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Moultonborough Academy Panthers took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodsville Engineers. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Engineers are ranked second).

Moultonborough Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Woodsville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moultonborough Academy will venture away from home to challenge Mascenic Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodsville, they will head out to take on Portsmouth Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
