Basketball Recap: Lumpkin County Comes Up Short

Lumpkin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the White County Warriors and fell 77-36. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Warriors are ranked 47th).

Lumpkin County's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for White County, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Lumpkin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for White County, they will square off against Chestatee at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Chestatee comes in on four and White County on three.
