Volleyball Recap: Merritt Academy Mustangs vs. New Haven Rockets
Merritt Academy lost against New Haven back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Merritt Academy Mustangs fell just short of the New Haven Rockets by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gabby Goetz was her usual excellent self, getting 40 digs and three aces for New Haven. Goetz is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleksa Sanchez, who had five digs and two aces.
Merritt Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 19-2. As for New Haven, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Merritt Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Haven, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Clintondale on the 1st.
