Volleyball Recap: Lutheran North Takes a Loss

After flying high against University City last Thursday, Lutheran North came back down to earth. The Crusaders came up short against the Burroughs Bombers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bombers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 25-13.

Haley Nelson paced Lutheran North's offense, picking up four kills. Nelson got some help from Jayla Everage and her six assists. Nelson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lutheran North now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Burroughs, they pushed their record up to 2-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Lutheran North will venture away from home to square off against McCluer at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burroughs, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Westminster Christian on the 11th.
