Sultana never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by  an  11-0 margin over the Burroughs Burros. The result was nothing new for the Sultans, who have now won eight games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Savannah Vanderpool made a splash no matter where she played. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Avery Rodriguez was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Jadielyn Rodriguez, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Sultana was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .423. They are 9-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Sultana is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Burroughs, their loss was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 4-9.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sultana will welcome Oak Hills  at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday. The Sultans are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Burroughs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hesperia  at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday. The Burros will also cruise into their next  contest with the timing on their side: the Scorpions will have lost three straight heading into Thursday's  game.
