Baseball Recap: Ferris Takes a Loss

If Ferris was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Hillsboro last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ferris Yellowjackets lost 20-1 to the Godley Wildcats on Friday.

Ferris saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Garza, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Ferris has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6-3 record this season. Godley is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2-1 record this season.

Ferris will square off against Godley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Godley, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Godley Wildcats take on Glen Rose Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in their favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
