Baseball Recap: Lebanon Cedars vs. Hamburg Hawks

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Annville-Cleona, Lebanon was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Hamburg Hawks with a sharp 7-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Cedars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Josh Perugorria made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Kevin Munoz was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. David Furjanic was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
