Football Recap: Lawrence County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lawrence County played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Ardmore Tigers, falling 55-23. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-8.

Despite the defeat, Lawrence County saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tavian Jones rushed for 271 yards and three scores while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Jones is becoming a predictor of the Red Devils' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

Lawrence County's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Ardmore, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
