Basketball Recap: North Victorious

North won the last time they faced South, and Kaitlin Dobida did her part to make sure it happened again. The North Rangers walked away with a 35-23 victory over the South Rebels on Wednesday thanks in part to Dobida, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Ferrari, who posted two points and three steals. She is becoming a predictor of North's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is undefeated (and 7-9 when she doesn't).

Despite the loss, South still got an impressive performance from Maddie Luciano, who earned 15 points.

North now has a winning record of 10-9. As for South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-41 defeat against Mayfield on the 8th. As for South, they have also already played their next game, a 31-30 loss against Riverside on the 8th.
