Softball Game Preview: Conard Red Wolves vs. Bristol Central Rams

The Conard Red Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Bristol Central Rams at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Conard will be strutting in after a victory while Bristol Central will be coming in after a defeat.

While Conard's win against Hall wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Wolves came out on top against the Warriors on Tuesday by a score of 4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Wolves have posted against the Warriors since May 20, 2019.

Meanwhile, Bristol Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Granby Memorial.

Conard's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Bristol Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.

Conard was able to grind out a solid victory over Bristol Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 9-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
