Northeast Dubois and Borden squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Northeast Dubois had to settle for second. They came up short against the Borden Braves, falling 65-41. The Jeeps' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Northeast Dubois still got an impressive performance from Bella Cummins, who posted 22 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyllee Schnell, who put up five points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Northeast Dubois smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Borden got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Wheeler out in front who went 6-for-10 on her way to 15 points along with five assists and three blocks. Riley Rarick was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten assists.

Northeast Dubois' loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Borden, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-5.

Northeast Dubois does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Borden, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-40 victory against Lafayette Central Catholic on the 1st.
