Baseball Recap: Hopatcong Comes Up Short

Hopatcong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Lenape Valley Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Monday.

Hopatcong's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Lenape Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Hopatcong does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lenape Valley, they have already played their next contest, a 9-0 loss against Hackettstown on the 17th.
