Basketball Recap: Columbia Academy Comes Up Short

Columbia Academy lost against Oak Forest Academy on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Columbia Academy Cougars were dealt a 67-37 loss at the hands of the Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 140th in Mississippi, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 12th in Louisiana).

Columbia Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Oak Forest Academy, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-2.

Columbia Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Forest Academy, they will square off against Silliman Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
