Basketball Recap: Dundalk Skates Past Kenwood with Ease

Dundalk made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kenwood, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Dundalk Owls blew past the Kenwood Bluebirds 50-16 on Wednesday. The Owls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.

Lanaya Valentine was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Caitlyn Howard, who posted seven points in addition to 22 boards and four steals.

Dundalk smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 38 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Dundalk has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Kenwood, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dundalk will face off against Lansdowne at 4:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for Kenwood, they will square off against Woodlawn at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
