Softball Recap: Timberline Wolves vs. Boise Brave
In what's become a running theme this season, Timberline gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Boise Brave as the Timberline Wolves made off with a 14-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Timberline considering their two-run performance the match before.
Bre Degen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Degen has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Degen was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with a double.
In other batting news, Ashlyn Graklanoff was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-4. Delaney Wright was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
On Boise's side, Lucy Hopstad made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Binford, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Timberline's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Boise, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.
