Basketball Game Preview: Shelby County Rockets vs. DeSales Colts

The Shelby County Rockets and the DeSales Colts will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Shelby County is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Shelby County was beaten by Martin County 86-46. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Cardinals are ranked 24th).

Meanwhile, DeSales suffered their closest loss since December 2nd on Saturday. They fell just short of Metcalfe County by a score of 62-59.

Shelby County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for DeSales, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Shelby County came up short against DeSales in their previous meeting back in February of 2017, falling 63-54. Can Shelby County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
