Basketball Game Preview: Southlake Carroll Dragons vs. Bell Blue Raiders

The Southlake Carroll Dragons and the Bell Blue Raiders will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Southlake Carroll sitting on four straight victories and Bell on three.

On Tuesday, Southlake Carroll blew past Northwest, posting a 57-30 win. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Texans are ranked 659th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bell humbled Keller Central with a 61-29 victory. The Blue Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Bell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Southlake Carroll, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Southlake Carroll strolled past Bell in their previous meeting back in November of 2020 by a score of 44-30. Will Southlake Carroll repeat their success, or does Bell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
