Basketball Recap: West Stokes Takes a Loss

The West Stokes Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Leadership Academy Falcons on Saturday and fell 63-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Caden Ryker had another great game (as he tends to do), shooting 62% from the field en route to 23 points in addition to five assists and five boards for Leadership Academy. Thanks to that strong game, Ryker now owns an excellent 47% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Walt Martin, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

West Stokes' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Leadership Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, West Stokes will venture away from home to challenge North Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Leadership Academy, they will challenge Mount Airy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
