Basketball Recap: Senedot Stripes Takes a Loss

Senedot Stripes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 42-34 to the Gilead Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Senedot Stripes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-36 back in December of 2024.

Gilead Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Talan Blankenship led the charge by going 6 of 15 en route to 22 points and five boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which Blankenship has scored at least a third of Gilead Christian's points. Aden Wagner was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Senedot Stripes' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Gilead Christian, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Senedot Stripes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gilead Christian, they will square off against Bowling Green Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
