Softball Recap: Perry Meridian Takes a Loss

Perry Meridian might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Decatur Central who claimed the real prize. The Falcons took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Macy Stroud was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsyn Naue, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Perry Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Decatur Central, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Perry Meridian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-6 victory against Ben Davis on the 10th. As for Decatur Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-6 defeat against Terre Haute North Vigo on the 10th.
