Volleyball Recap: Northview Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

It was a proper cat-fight when Northview Academy challenged Pigeon Forge on Thursday. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Tigers. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Northview Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-19, 25-22, 27-25.

When it comes to explaining why Northview Academy lost, don't look at Sydney Cole. Despite the final result, she had 30 digs and two assists. Cole is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Underwood, who had eight digs and seven assists.

Northview Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2. As for Pigeon Forge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Northview Academy will take on West Greene at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pigeon Forge, they will face off against King's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
