Lufkin has gone 9-1 against Nacogdoches recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Dragons at 11:00 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Arlette Castillo and Brylee Gatwood stepped up to the plate in a big way. Castillo got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases and four runs, while Gatwood went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikole Green, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Lufkin's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-13. As for Nacogdoches, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.
