Basketball Recap: Palo Verde Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palo Verde can now relate to. They took a 74-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Legacy Longhorns on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 69-58 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Palo Verde's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Legacy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Palo Verde does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Legacy, they will take on Sierra Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sierra Vista knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 games -- so hopefully Legacy likes a good challenge.
