Recap: Wilson Hall Barons vs. Christian Academy Saints
The Wilson Hall Barons had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 29-28 victory over Christian Academy. For Wilson Hall, this counts as revenge for the 50-44 defeat Christian Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.
Despite the loss, Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Payton Rumley, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Rumley hasn't dropped below 12 rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Carly Belle Jackson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Wilson Hall's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-7.
Wilson Hall didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-25 win vs. Laurence Manning Academy on the 9th. Christian Academy has also already played their next matchup, a 30-20 win against Florence Christian on the 9th.
