            Baseball Recap: Lockport Porters vs. Stagg Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            Lockport posted their closest  win since April 2nd on Wednesday. They skirted past the Stagg Chargers  6-4. The Porters haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 Trace Schaaf tossed a big game,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   seven  hits. Those  six  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high.

 On the hitting side,  Adam Kozak was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Bryce Flood, who  went 1-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Lockport pushed their record up to 10-5 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Stagg,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Lockport will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chargers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
