Volleyball Recap: Wheatland Comes Up Short

Wheatland and Encina squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Wheatland had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered since March 24th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-17.

This is the second loss in a row for Wheatland and nudges their season record down to 12-13. As for Encina, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 25-10.

Wheatland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Encina, they will face off against Vacaville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
