Baseball Game Preview: Eagle's View Warriors vs. First Coast Christian Knights

Eagle's View has gone a perfect 10-0 against First Coast Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagle's View Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the First Coast Christian Knights at 6:30 p.m. Eagle's View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Eagle's View will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Yulee, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Eagle's View came out on top against Yulee by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday.

Aaron Parmar looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Eagle's View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clayton Friidall, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Friidall is becoming a predictor of Eagle's View's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-7 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, neither First Coast Christian nor Parsons Christian Academy could gain the upper hand last Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 10-10 tie.

Eagle's View has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. First Coast Christian's tie makes their record 3-1-1 this season.

First Coast Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Eagle's View has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for First Coast Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Eagle's View keep running through batters, or will First Coast Christian buck the trend?

Eagle's View beat First Coast Christian 5-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Eagle's View repeat their success, or does First Coast Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
