Baseball Game Preview: Carson Colts vs. Gardena Panthers

For the second straight game, Carson will face off against Gardena. The Colts will head out to square off against the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Carson is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Wednesday, Carson got the win against Gardena by a conclusive 13-1.

Xavier Allen and Nate Ruan did most of the damage at the plate: Allen went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Ruan went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Allen a new career-high. Fernando Barajas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Carson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 8.8.
