West Florida Baptist Academy won the last time they faced Gulf Pointe Latin and things went their way on Thursday too. The Conquerors came out on top against the Gladiators by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Conquerors.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-27, 28-26, 25-18.

Olivia Pearce paced West Florida Baptist Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Pearce got some help from Mary Kathryn Drummond and her 34 assists. Finally, Pearce was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

West Florida Baptist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, their loss ended a seven-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-3.

West Florida Baptist Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Calvary Christian Academy on the 26th. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, they will be playing at home against Pensacola Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
