Two dominant guards in Kania Prichett and Luwi Rodriguez are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Texas Lions HomeSchool Lions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Evant Elks at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Texas Lions HomeSchool is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Evant in Texas (Texas Lions HomeSchool is ranked 266th, while Evant is ranked 932nd).
On Saturday, Texas Lions HomeSchool was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-51 to Aggieland HomeSchool.
Meanwhile, Evant entered their tilt with Blanket with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Evant managed a 41-37 win over Blanket on Friday.
Evant can attribute much of their success to Bree Ramirez, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and six steals, and Rodriguez, who scored 20 points along with two steals. Harley Weeks was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Texas Lions HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 20-3. As for Evant, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
