Basketball Recap: Central of Clay County Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Central of Clay County won the last time they faced Munford and things went their way on Thursday too. The Central of Clay County Volunteers walked away with a 47-34 victory over the Munford Lions. Given the Volunteers' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Lions are ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central of Clay County is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Munford, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

As of now, neither Central of Clay County nor Munford have any future games scheduled.
