Baseball Recap: Latta Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Latta Vikings didn't have quite enough to beat the Wilson Tigers and fell 7-6.

Seth Minshew put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Fisher Richardson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was BW Berry, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Latta's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wilson, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Latta will challenge Sumter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson has already played their next matchup (against Carolina Forest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
