Basketball Game Preview: Tift County Blue Devils vs. Buford Wolves

Tift County is 0-3 against Buford since November of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will take on the Wolves at 6:00 p.m.

Tift County saw some tournament action on Friday. The matchup between the Blue Devils and Camden County didn't end well, with the Blue Devils falling 63-46. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Wildcats are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, Buford came tearing into Friday's game with 24 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 48-38.

Tift County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Buford, their victory bumped their record up to 26-1.

Tift County couldn't quite get it done against Buford in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as they fell 80-67. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
