That household has seen its share of talented basketball players take to its backyard courts. There's Gary Hamilton, who played four years at University of Miami and plays professionally overseas. There's
Isaac Hamilton, who next season will lace up at UCLA after sitting out this season. And there is
Jordan Hamilton, a third-year pro with the Denver Nuggets.
All of these brothers are older than Daniel, which fueled his competitive spirit, raised his basketball IQ and showed him the proper ways to prepare for high school, college and beyond.
Displaying a well-rounded game his junior year by averaging 14.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7.1 assists, Hamilton took more of a scoring role his senior year, letting junior standout
Tyler Dorsey be more of the team's facilitator.
Hamilton ended up averaging 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game during the 2013-14 season which saw the Braves go 23-11 overall, finish No. 21 in the
MaxPreps Computer Rankings and win a California Division II state championship with a 63-54 victory over
Folsom.
The next opportunity to watch Daniel Hamilton take the court is April 18 during the Jordan Brand Classic at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
