Recap: El Camino Wildcats vs. Desert Pines Jaguars
On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, El Camino beat Desert Pines 56-51. The win was all the more spectacular given El Camino's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 237th in California, while Desert Pines is ranked 47th in Nevada).
El Camino's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Boone, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Logan Ardent, who scored 13 points.
El Camino now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Desert Pines, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
El Camino is on the road again on January 5, 2024 and play against Oceanside at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Desert Pines, they will be playing at home against Mojave at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mojave's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
