Football Game Preview: Long Reach Lightning vs. Guilford Park Panther + Official Tickets

The Long Reach Lightning will square off against the Guilford Park Panther at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Long Reach has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Guilford Park will arrive with eight straight wins.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 40-3, which was the final score in Long Reach's tilt against Glenelg on Friday.

Meanwhile, Guilford Park humbled Howard with a 38-7 victory. Considering the Panther have won three contests by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Long Reach better keep an eye on Tyler Lee. He was instrumental in Guilford Park's win, rushing for 184 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Griffin, who picked up 101 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Guilford Park's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Long Reach, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
