Baseball Game Preview: Green Bobcats vs. Clay Panthers

For the first time this season, Green will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Green Bobcats face off against Clay Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Green came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Huntington, falling 12-0. The loss put an end to the Bobcats' undefeated start to the season.

Green saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Blevins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Clay beat Western 9-4 on Monday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Having lost for the first time this season, Green fell to 2-1. As for Clay, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Green took their win against Clay in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-1 score. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
