Straughn and Brantley are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Straughn Tigers will welcome the Brantley Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Straughn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Straughn came up short against Vincent and fell 6-3.

Straughn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Ashberry, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits Ashberry has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, everything went Brantley's way against Goshen on Friday as Brantley made off with an 18-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Straughn's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Brantley, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Everything went Straughn's way against Brantley in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Straughn made off with a 20-9 win. Will Straughn repeat their success, or does Brantley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
