Football Recap: Cox Mill Finds Home Field Redemption Against Rocky River + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Cox Mill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Rocky River Ravens 35-20 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Chargers considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Cox Mill found their leader in sophomore Jacob Moore, who picked up a sack, made 11 total tackles, and defended three passes. The Chargers also got a significant boost from Juice Hall, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.

Cox Mill's defense made their presence known, laying out David Echevarria. four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Cox Mill got some further help from Moore: he picked up a sack, made 11 total tackles, and defended three passes.

Despite the loss, Rocky River saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyrell Barze rushed for 129 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also picked up 75 receiving yards. Barze's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

The victory got Cox Mill back to even at 1-1. As for Rocky River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cox Mill will host Cuthbertson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rocky River, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Berry at 7:00 p.m.
