Basketball Game Preview: Skipstone Academy Warriors vs. Central Georgia Arts

The Skipstone Academy Warriors will challenge Central Georgia Arts at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 15 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Skipstone Academy and three for Central Georgia Arts.

Skipstone Academy is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Trinity Christian School of Griffin last Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Skipstone Academy came up short against Trinity Christian School of Griffin, falling 49-24. The Warriors were down 39-16 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Skipstone Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ella Clark, who posted 11 points, and Emily Williams, who had 11 points. Clark is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games.

Meanwhile, Central Georgia Arts was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 47-41 to Twiggs Academy.

Central Georgia Arts' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Skipstone Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Skipstone Academy was taken down by Central Georgia Arts 55-5 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Skipstone Academy was down 32-3.
