Basketball Recap: Greenville Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Greenville needed a changed in momentum after dropping ten straight games and they got it from Drew Hamilton. The Greenville Green Wave managed a 55-50 victory over the Stebbins Indians on Friday thanks in part to Hamilton, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Those 25 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was John Barr, who posted eight points in addition to 12 boards and four blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played.

Greenville's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14. As for Stebbins, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Greenville and Versailles will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Greenville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Stebbins, they and Tecumseh will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
