Volleyball Recap: Dr. Krop Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dr. Krop can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Mater Academy Charter Lions on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lightning of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16, 25-11.

Amari Gunning paced Dr. Krop's offense, picking up seven kills. Gunning got some help from Mia Morra and her 11 assists. Dylan Zuckerman controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Mater Academy Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was ANGELINE BENOIT out in front who hit 65.5% for 20 kills and 18 digs and five aces. The last time BENOIT's hitting percentage was this high was back in September of 2024.

Dr. Krop has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Mater Academy Charter, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Dr. Krop does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mater Academy Charter, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Everglades on the 16th.
