Volleyball Recap: Crimson Cliffs' Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Crimson Cliffs came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Orem Tigers. The Mustangs have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

While Crimson Cliffs was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Orem's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

Jesi Maxfield paced Crimson Cliffs' offense, picking up nine kills. Maxfield got some help from Audrey Stratton and her 15 assists. Ilikea Garcia-Casey controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Crimson Cliffs fell to 3-1. As for Orem, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Crimson Cliffs has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against West Field on the 22nd. As for Orem, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Snow Canyon on the 22nd.
