Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Trinity Lutheran, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over New Albany on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since September 6th.
Trinity Lutheran took New Albany into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-16, 25-20, 18-25, 15-9.
Crothersville better focus on containing Madelyn Adams and Emerson Warren as the pair were huge in Trinity Lutheran's win. Adams had ten digs and four aces, while Warren had eight kills and four digs. That's the most digs Adams has posted over her last nine matches. Bailey Bonde also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Trinity Lutheran was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are a perfect 7-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Crothersville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Trinity Lutheran, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11.
